40th goal in the Premier League

Leandro Andrade has scored his 40th goal in the Azerbaijan Premier League. His milestone goal came in his 127th league appearance.

The Portuguese midfielder was a double scorer in the Azerbaijan Premier League Matchday 23 game against Araz-Naxçıvan PFK, which ended 6:0. Andrade’s first goal of the match marked his milestone, and with his second goal, his total tally in Azerbaijani championships reached 41.

Having made his league debut in the 2021/22 season and representing only Qarabağ FK in Azerbaijan, Andrade became the 70th player in the competition’s history to score 40 or more goals.

It should be noted that Andrade shares this achievement with Samir A. Mammadov, Fazil Asadov, Leandro Gomes, and Baqali Daboya, each of whom also reached 41 goals in the league.
