Away victory for “Qarabağ”

“Qarabağ” played its second match in the Misli Premier League. Our team faced “Karvan-Yevlax” away in the Round III encounter.

Just a few days earlier, our team had played against the Hungarian club “Ferencváros” in the UEFA Champions League, so this time several changes were made to the lineup. From the referee’s opening whistle, our players took full control of the game, creating dangerous chances in front of the opponent’s goal with successive attacks. These efforts paid off in the 11th minute. After Emmanuel Addai’s cross from the wing, the opposing defender accidentally directed the ball into his own net.

Our team continued to dominate afterwards. Controlling possession, our players searched for gaps in the opponent’s defense both through the middle and from the flanks. This pressure was reflected on the scoreboard in the 72nd minute when Addai scored with a header. Thus, our team secured a 2–0 away victory.

It should be noted that “Qarabağ” will play its next league match at home against “Zirə” on September 12.
