After the Qarabağ – Ajax (Netherlands) match (2:4) in Matchday 6 of the Champions League League Stage, our head coach Gurban Gurbanov shared his thoughts. The experienced coach evaluated the match at the post-game press conference:

“I am satisfied with my players. In recent years, such dynamic, fast and high-scoring games have been rare. It’s just that teams like Ajax do not forgive mistakes—they make use of every episode. It felt as if everything that didn’t work for Ajax in the previous five matches worked today. Even though we lost, we fought. Of course, we all wanted to win; we were not thinking about a draw. We had instilled that winning mentality in the players. That’s why our players tried to create superiority in attack. I thank the fans—they believed in us. It was a true football celebration. Only the victory was missing. In football, you must be ready for such results. I think everyone enjoyed the game; only the result went the other way.”
