My players deserved to qualify for the play-offs

Following the UEFA Champions League League Phase Matchday 8 fixture between Liverpool (England) and Qarabag (6:0), our head coach Gurban Gurbanov shared his thoughts. The experienced specialist assessed the match at the post-match press conference:

“Unfortunately, we faced such a defeat. Nevertheless, we have qualified for the play-off stage. I congratulate my players and our people. If we look back at the eight-match journey we went through in the League Phase, we endured a lot. My players deserved to advance to the play-offs. As the competition progresses, the matches become more difficult and the opponents grow stronger. Even bigger games await us ahead. We will try to prepare better for the upcoming matches.”
