"Qarabağ" and Qurban Qurbanov named the best of the year

The best of Azerbaijani sports in 2025 have been announced. At the Gala ceremony organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Qarabağ was recognized among the best in two categories.

These honors were awarded in recognition of our team’s achievements throughout the year. In the 2024/25 season, our club claimed the Azerbaijani championship for the 12th time. Qarabağ also advanced to the group stage of European competitions for the 12th consecutive time and achieved historic success in the Champions League, reaching the group stage of Europe’s most prestigious club tournament for the second time.

As a result of these accomplishments, Qarabağ was named the Best Men’s Team of the Year, and our head coach Qurban Qurbanov received the title of Best Men’s Coach of the Year.
