Qarabağ is in the quarter-final

Our team has played its next match. “Qarabağ” has begun its campaign in the 2025/26 season of the Bizon Azerbaijan Cup.

Entering the competition from the Round of 16, our team faced “Karvan-Yevlax”. The match was held at Azersun Arena.

The match proceeded under our team’s control. Despite continuous attacks, “Qarabağ” couldn’t find the net before halftime.

The outcome of the match was decided in the second half. Our team’s pressure finally paid off in the closing stages, with Nariman Akhundzade scoring in the 80th minute.

Soon after, “Qarabağ” doubled the lead, as our attack resulted in an own goal by the opponent. In the final minutes, Nariman sealed his brace, making it 3:0. With this convincing victory, our team secured a place in the quarter-final.

It should be noted that “Qarabağ” will face “Shamakhi” in the quarter-finals. The first-leg matches of this stage will take place on February 3–4, 2026, with the return legs scheduled for March 3–4. Our team will play the first match away.
