Two goals at Azersun Arena

Our team played its next match in the Misli Premier League XVII round against Kəpəz.

The first game after the winter break took place at Azersun Arena. Head coach Gurban Gurbanov fielded the following starting XI: 97. Fabian Buntić, 55. Bədavi Hüseynov (c), 30. Abbas Hüseynov, 27. Toral Bayramov, 22. Musa Qurbanlı, 7. Nəriman Axundzadə, 3. Sami Mmae, 18. Dani Bolt, 6. Kris Kuaku, 21. Aleksey Kaşuk, 11. Emmanuel Addai.

The match was dominated by our team. “Qarabağ” controlled possession and created numerous attacks on the opponent’s goal. However, the visitors opened the scoring in the first half. Ryonosuke Ohori scored in the middle of the first half.

The second half followed the same pattern. Shortly after the restart, the visitors scored again, this time Ehtiram Shahverdiyev found the net. Our team tried to turn the game around with consecutive attacks, but the score remained unchanged, and we left the home ground without points – 0:2.

Our next Premier League match will take place on February 1st. The XVIII round fixture, “Qarabağ” vs. “Turan Tovuz”, will be held at Azersun Arena and kick off at 18:30.
