"We have always given talented local players a chance"

Following the 35th round match of the Misli Premier League between Qarabağ and Kapaz (3:0), our head coach Gurban Gurbanov held a press conference. The experienced specialist shared his thoughts about the match:

“I thank my players. It was a very useful and high-quality game. Although we secured the championship a few rounds ago, we felt it even more today, as the players received the medals they truly deserve. It's a very joyful day for us. I sincerely congratulate my players. I also thank every fan who came to the stadium.”

The head coach also commented on the performance of young player Hikmat Jabrayilzadeh, who came on in the second half: “We have always given a chance to talented local players. If they're good, we put them on the field. Every player is given the opportunity to train and play with the first team. Hikmat Jabrayilzadeh has been with the main team for the past 10 days. Aftandil Hajiyev had given us information about him and Amin Rzayev. We are creating the conditions for their development. I would very much like them to get more minutes on the pitch. We will continue to work on strengthening them. To play top-level football, they need to be more resilient from a young age. Hikmat has to work hard on himself. He must improve his physical strength and efficiency. Whenever possible, we constantly try to involve such players in the team.”
