“We want to improve our game further”

Before the UEFA Champions League second qualifying round match between Qarabağ and Shelbourne (Ireland), our team’s head coach Gurban Gurbanov held a press conference. The experienced coach shared his thoughts about the match:

“We have prepared well for the game. Although we have certain advantages, we’ll be playing against a very serious opponent who doesn’t like to lose. We are not thinking about the result of the first match. In the return leg, we want to improve our game even more. Tomorrow, we’ll try to play a good game with fewer mistakes.”

The head coach also mentioned that there are some squad losses: “Dani Bolt will not be able to play in tomorrow’s match. Marko Janković will have a light training session with the team today. Maybe we can include him in the match squad against Shelbourne, but it would still be a big risk for him to play. Whether he’ll be ready for the next game depends on how things progress.”
